Yo soy Galo Larenas.  Vivo en Quito, Ecuador, y soy estudiante de Sociología. He tenido una vida llena de viajes alrededor del mundo.  He vivido en Francia, Rusia y viví 5 años en Ottawa, Canadá. 

Soy un amante de los idiomas, aunque por el momento sólo hablo inglés y francés... apuntaré pronto al Alemán y al quichua, idioma nativo de mi país. 

Soy un fanático de mi país y por donde he ido he tratado de que todos conozcan su riqueza, pero también sus problemas de manera que tomen conciencia del mundo en el que están viviendo.  Por ese motivo he participado también en el Foro Social Mundial. En ambos caso fui elegido como intérprete voluntario para hacer llegar los mensajes de construcción de un nuevo mundo a todos aquellos que no hablan español.  Hace un par de años, fui al Foro en Porto Alegre, Brasil, y este último Enero estuve en Caracas, Venezuela.

 

Aparte de estudiar, he estado trabajando dando clases de idiomas en diversos colegios, aunque anhelo pronto incorporarme directamente a mi rama.

 

Alguna característica en particular?  No fumo ni bebo.... la gente dice que eso es original...

 

Soy un amante del fútbol, del rock entre otras cosas.  Aquí encontrarán fotografías de los más importantes eventos.

Welcome dear visitor!

 

I'm Galo Larenas. I live in Quito, Ecuador and I study Sociology. My life's been full of trips all over the world. I've lived in France, Russia and recently lived in Ottawa , Canada for 5 years.

Languages are my passion, though I only speak Spanish and French for now.... I'm aiming for German and Quichua (this last one is my country's native language).

I love my country and therefore I always try to let people from everywhere else know about it.  I always talk to them about its marvelous natural and cultural wealth, but also about its serious problems so that they get a better perspective of the world they live on. That's why I've also participated in the World Social Forum. I've been elected twice as a volonteer interpreter to reach the message of "another world is possible" to all those who don't speak English. THe first time, it took place in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and this last time it was in Caracas, Venezuela.

 

Other than study, I've also been working all these years, teaching English and French in different schools.  However I'm planning to finally get into my field asap.

 

I'm also a football lover and I'm into rock, among other things. Here you'll find pictures of my most important events.

 

A special trait?  I don't drink, nor smoke... people always say that's a special one...
